Currently serving as Consultant and Clinical Lead for Community Mental Health Services in the NHS, Dr Badshah plays a pivotal role in delivery of mental health care, ensuring that services are both effective and empathetic. His vast clinical experience spans acute inpatient units, liaison psychiatry, intensive home-based treatment teams (IHBTT), and community mental health teams and rehabilitation settings. This breadth of experience allows him to manage high-risk mental health crises and provide long-term care for individuals with complex needs.

As the Northwest Executive for the British Pakistani Psychiatrists Association (BPPA), Dr Badshah is actively involved in supporting the professional development of psychiatrists within the organization, fostering collaboration and growth in the field.

Dr Badshah specializes in a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including:

• Mood Disorders: Major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder (types I and II), and dysthymia.
• Anxiety Spectrum Disorders: Generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

As a Clinical and Educational Supervisor, he has worked with Foundation year / GPST /Psychiatry trainees, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), medical students, and physician associates, ensuring that his knowledge and expertise are passed on to future leaders in the field. His involvement in quality improvement (QI) projects and research initiatives further exemplifies his dedication to advancing psychiatry and improving service delivery.
